It is the same light of the Holy Spirit that you are reflecting as you take care of prayer every day, listen to his word, and serve others. Participate in reconciliation, discernment, and the Eucharist. This will help you to be alert in waiting for the Lord, even if sometimes you fall asleep in the soft comfort of the world and its artificial science. Take a break this afternoon and review how you use your knowledge. What is the purpose behind the knowledge you possess and who is it serving? Is it for your studies or your trade? Nowadays, we have technological means at our fingertips. “Science and technology are a wonderful product of human creativity donated by God” (Pope Francis). Does your knowledge leave truth or confusion in your heart? Do your technological distractions make you sleepy or help you to encounter love? With an awake spirit, continue in today’s purpose.

Calm your heart and see how you have lived freely today. Be grateful for the love given and received. In what moments do you recognize that you have been animated, hopeful, and in a good mood? What attitudes were awakened in you? Stop to enjoy and appreciate that experience of freedom. Make a commitment to cultivate your spirits and good humor for tomorrow. Hail Mary…
