「そのとき、人の子が大いなる力と栄光を帯びて雲に乗って来るのを、人々は見る」（ルカ21:27）。今日一日を始めるにあたり、希望に満ちた心で、「主よ、来てください」と主に言いましょう。イエスは今日あなたと共にきて、そばにいたいと願っていらっしゃいます。イエスを招き入れ、一緒にいてくださるよう願いましょう。福音書を読む時間を作り、あなたの心の中に福音を響かせましょう。主に話しかけ、自分が感じていること、場合によっては恐れを主に捧げ、希望を持って主に共にいてくださるよう願いましょう。今月の教皇の意向を心にとめ、あなたの生活を通して、その意向を共にしましょう。天におられる…

この午後、休憩を取り、心を集中させましょう。教皇はわたしたちに「テクノロジーの発達が度を増して人間の仕事を奪い、人類を傷つけるようなことを許してはなりません」、と言っています。どんな進歩も発展も、人間を強めるために用いられ、人間に取って代わるのでない場合のみ、本物です。すべての個人の働きが尊重され、中心におかれるような環境を育てていくことが必要です。それこそが、われわれが人間として発展する基礎なのです。あなたは自分の隣人の仕事を尊重していますか。今日の捧げを新たにしましょう。

With Jesus in the morning
“They will see the Son of man coming in a cloud, with great power and majesty” (Luke 21:0-28). At the beginning of this day, with a hopeful heart, say to the Lord “Come, Lord Jesus!” Jesus comes to your heart today and wants to be close to you. Allow him to enter and ask him to accompany you. Take some time to read the Gospel and let it resonate with you. Talk to the Lord, offer him your feelings, perhaps your fears, and ask for his presence with hope. Take a break this afternoon to calibrate your heart. The Pope tells us that “it should not be sought that technological progress increasingly replaces human work, with which humanity would harm itself.” All improvement and development are genuine insofar as they empower man and do not replace him. Take a break to close out the day. Focus on your breathing. Relive the day by imaginatively following the things you have work on. Be grateful for the means at your disposal: clothes, food, and possessions around the house. What do you want to be thankful for?
