With Jesus in the morning
Welcome the new day with a heart ready to go out to meet your neighbor. “Jesus called his twelve disciples and gave them power to cast out unclean spirits and to heal all sickness and disease” (Matthew 9:35; 10:1,6-8). You are called into action to give your life to others, to make life easier, and to soften the suffering of your neighbor. With Jesus during the day
Pause your day this afternoon to meet the Lord. Pope Francis continues to tell us about Bartimaeus’ prayer when, “Jesus speaks to him, asks him to express his desire – this is important – and then the cry turns into a request: ‘Make me regain my sight.’” What is it that clouds your vision? What things blind you at this time? For the remainder of the day, ask Jesus Christ like this blind man did, that you regain your sight to see the Lord. The encounter with him will change everything.

Close your eyes and focus on your breath. How was your day? What are you thankful for? Look at your works, your affections, the things, and the people that God has given you. How have you dealt with them? Do you feel that some part of your day has taken away your freedom? Ask God for help to respond to what you face tomorrow. Hail Mary…
