Receive the new day with a grateful heart by making yourself available to the Lord’s mission. “When Herod realized that he had been deceived by the magi, he became furious. He ordered the massacre of all the boys in Bethlehem” (Matthew 2:16). How do you react when things surprise you and your plans fall apart? Sometimes we kill the initiatives of others and their expectations. We damage their desires because we do not open ourselves to listening and we do not accept the differences. Pope Francis tells us, “There is a voice that suddenly resonates in Abraham’s life. A voice that invites him to undertake a journey that he knows is absurd: a voice that spurs him to uproot himself from his homeland, from his family roots, in order to move toward a new, different future. And it is all based on a promise, in which he needs only to have trust. And to have trust in a promise is not easy. It takes courage. And Abraham had trust.” Do you trust the voice of the Lord to let yourself be led? Renew your daily offering.
