昇る朝日、定められた軌道を進む宇宙、子どもの世話をする母親や父親、働き、世話し、教える人々、憐れみのわざを学ぶ人々を賛美しながら、この新しい日を始めます。「近所の人々や親類は、主がエリサベトを大いに慈しまれたと聞いて喜び合った」（ルカ1:58）。おお主よ、わたしがいつもあなたの憐みのうちに喜びを見いだすことができるよう教えてください。今日の終わりに、あなたが憐れみ深くあられたからわたしは幸福だった、と言えるようにしてください。わたしの今日一日を、マリアと心を合わせ、2023年のリスボンで行われるワールドユースデ―の準備をする若者たちのために捧げます。天におられる…

日中イエスと共に
「憐みは喜びをもたらします。その心が新しい命への希望に開かれているからです。ゆるすことの喜びは、説明しがたいものですが、それを経験する時にはいつも、この喜びはわたしたちのうちで輝きます。その源泉には愛があり、その愛によって神はわたしたちに会いにやってくるのです」（教皇フランシスコ『使徒的書簡 あわれみあるかたと、あわれな女』）。神の受肉した憐れみの魅力がわたしのうちで輝きますように。この憐みは教会の命のうちに映し出され、喜びと希望をもたらします。今日の午後の残りの時間、教会となり、神の憐みを映し出し、隣人に喜びと希望をもたらす者となりましょう。

With Jesus in the morning
I begin this new day admiring the rising sun, the universe that follows its course, the mothers and fathers who take care of their children, the hands that work, care, teach, and learn works of mercy. “Her neighbors and relatives heard that the Lord had shown his great mercy toward her, and they rejoiced with her” (Luke 1:58). O Lord, teach me to always rejoice in your mercy. Let me say at the end of this day, I was happy because you were merciful! I offer this day, in union with Mary, for the young people who are preparing for World Youth Day, Lisbon 2023. Our Father…

With Jesus during the day
“Mercy brings joy because the heart is open to the hope of a new life. The joy of forgiveness is indescribable, but it shines in us every time we experience it. At its source is the love with which God comes to encounter us” (Pope Francis, Misericordia et Misera). May the enchantment of God’s incarnate mercy grow in me. This mercy is reflected in the life of the Church, bringing joy and hope. In the time you have left this afternoon, dare to be Church, to be a reflection of God’s mercy, bringing joy and hope to others.

Regain your calm and be grateful for the day that is ending. Get in touch with yourself by closing your eyes and making a moment of silence. Make yourself present and look in your heart at the day: people, places, situations, and conversations. What resounds in your heart from today? What feelings do you have? What does it move you to do?
