祈りの生活を深める続けるために、少しの間立ち止まりましょう。教皇は「祈る人は自分の周りの命の神秘を見つめます。その人は頭上に広がる星空を見――今日、天体物理学はその広大さを示してくれます――そしてそのようなどっしりとした作品の背後にはどれほど素敵な計画があるのだろうかと自問するのです。・・・そして、そのような際限のない広がりの中にあって、人間は何者なのだろうかと考えるのです」とおっしゃいます。祈るということは、すべての被造物のうちに住まう愛のうちに留まり、創造主によって見出されることを望むことです。今日という日がもたらすものの内に、主の愛の神秘を見出しましょう。

With Jesus in the morning
Embrace the new day with confidence and be ready to serve your brothers and sisters in everything. “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary your wife into your home. For it is through the holy Spirit that this child has been conceived in her.” (Matthew 1:20). Confidence translates into advancing on the road even without seeing. Pause for a moment to continue deepening your prayer life. The Pope reminds us that, “The one praying contemplates the mystery of the life around him; he sees the starry sky that lies above him — and that astrophysics shows us today in all its immensity — and asks himself what loving plan must there be behind such ponderous work!….And, in this boundless expanse, what is man?” To pray is to remain in the love that inhabits everything created and to allow ourselves to be found by the Creator. With Jesus in the night
Calm yourself down to close the day. Enter the intimacy of your heart and let God speak to you. Walk your day with him. Ask him to show you how you have lived and where he has found you. What are you thankful for? What would you have liked to be different? Do you think there is someone who needs an apology? Intimacy with the Lord helps to see what he sees.
