物事を注意深く見つめる目と心で、この新しい一日を受け入れ、キリストのミッションに自分のいのちを捧げましょう。「エリヤは既に来たのだ。人々は彼を認めず、好きなようにあしらったのである」（マタイ17：10-13）。今日、観想的な態度をもって、きわめて多くの声にあふれた中で、どのように主があなたに呼びかけ、主に従うように招いておられるかを見出すように努めましょう。今日あなたに起こることを受け入れつつ、一日を通して絶えず主と語り続けましょう。自分の活動に戻ったら、主が祈りの中で示してくださったことを行動に移してみましょう。天におられる…

この午後、少し時間を取って祈りましょう。教皇フランシスコはわたしたちに次のように語っています。「キリスト者の祈りは、この上ない優しさにみちた顔をしておられる神との関係のうちに入ります。…これがキリスト者の祈りの最初の特徴です。…キリスト者は神へと向き直り、信頼のうちに神を『御父』という名で呼ぶのです」。 主があなたを抱きしめてくださるように、主の優しさがあなたに届くように、身を委ねましょう。主ほどあなたを愛している人は誰もいません。主は、あなたをどれほど愛しているかを伝えるために、自らの命を捧げるまでに、あなたを愛しておられるのです。この午後、主の愛に感謝しましょう。

With Jesus in the morning
Embrace the new day with attentive eyes and heart, offering your life to the mission of Christ. “Elijah has already come and they did not recognize him, but have done with him what they wanted” (Matthew 17:10-13). Take a contemplative attitude today and make yourself available to discover how the Lord calls you among so many voices and invites you to follow him. Accept what happens to you today, but continue to talk with the Lord throughout your day as well. When you return to your activities, put into action what the Lord has shown you in prayer. With Jesus during the day
Take some time to pray this afternoon. As Pope Francis tells us, “the prayer of the Christian enters into a relationship with the God with the most tender face…This is the first characteristic of Christian prayer…Christians turn instead to him, daring to confidently call him by the name of ‘Father.’” Let the Lord embrace you, allow his tenderness to reach you. Nobody loves you more than him, he loves you to the point of giving his life, to tell you how much he loves you. Give thanks this afternoon for the love of the Lord.

Rest in silence, becoming aware of the beat of your heart and your breathing. The life that God gave you today has also been sustained by these little impulses of life. Do you recognize the love of God in the little things of the day? Do you feel cared for by God in the details of love? Take a pencil and paper and record what you discover.
