自由に使えるように神から与えられた賜物と、享受するように神が与えてくださった自由とを、神に感謝しましょう。神よ、わたしが、他の人々を裁く態度を取るのではなく、彼ら自身とその具体的な状況をいつくしみのまなざしで見つめ、彼らの心の中で何が起こっているのかを理解しつつ、識別しながら選定していくことができるよう、助けてください。教皇の今月の意向に合わせて、今日一日をお捧げします。地球の資源が不当に奪われることなく、正しくふさわしい方法で配分されますように。アヴェ・マリア…

日中イエスと共に
「すべての物事、すべての人のうちに、いつも神の御顔を求め、すべての出来事のうちに神の御手を探すこと。これこそが、世界の只中にあって観想的であるということの意味です。とりわけ、みすぼらしいパンの形のうちに、また貧しい人々の悲惨な姿のうちに、イエスの現存を見出し、崇めること」（コルカタの聖テレサ）。今この瞬間、わたしはしばし立ち止まって、理解するよう努めます。誰も偶然にわたしの人生の中に関わっては来ないということ、すべての物事のうちに神の祝福と学びの機会とを見つけることができるということを。どんな行動をするときでも、それが主に喜ばれるものであるかどうかをつねに自問しなくてはなりません。

With Jesus in the morning
Give thanks to God for the gifts he puts at your disposal and the freedom he gives you to enjoy them. I ask God to help me not be judgmental of others, but to make choices in a discerning way, with a merciful look at others and their concrete circumstances, understanding what is going on in their hearts. I offer the Lord this day, that the resources of the planet are not plundered, but shared fairly and respectfully, according to the intention of the Holy Father for this month. Hail Mary…

With Jesus during the day
“Seeking the face of God in everything, everyone, all the time, and his hand in every happening; This is what it means to be contemplative in the heart of the world. Seeing and adoring the presence of Jesus, especially in the lowly appearance of bread, and in the distressing disguise of the poor” (St. Teresa of Calcutta). At this moment, I pause to understand that no one enters my life by chance, that in everything I can find blessing or an opportunity to learn. In all actions, I should ask if they are pleasing to the Lord.

With Jesus in the night
Take a moment to ask the Lord to show you the beauty of this day, the places you traveled, the people you encountered, the good you have been able to do and receive, and every other detail of the day. For what are you grateful? Enjoy this moment with God and prepare to live tomorrow in his love. Hail Mary…
