隣人への奉仕のために
この新しい一日に目を開き、御父、御子、聖霊の御名によってこの一日を始めなさい。今日の福音を響かせよう： イエスが座り、十二人を呼び寄せて言われた。「いちばん先になりたい者は、すべての人の後になり、すべての人に仕える者になりなさい。」（マコ9：30-37）。
今日、主は、あなたが日常的に生活を共にしている姉妹や兄弟に対して、完全かつ無私の奉仕のうちに生きるよう招いておられます。他者を愛し、信頼し、仕える子どものような無垢な心で生きるために。「キリスト者は仕えるために存在する」（教皇フランシスコ）。
沈黙のうちに数分間、福音に心を合わせ、今日をどのように生きたいかをイメージしてください。
養成中の神学生のために捧げる祈りをし、主が彼らの中に奉仕する心を鍛えてくださるように。

この中休みに、教皇フランシスコが5月のために語っておられることに耳を傾けてください： 「真の職業的動機、すなわち、主に従い、神の国を築こうとする動機は、人間的であると同時に霊的なプロセスの根底にあります。
召命の根底には常に他者への奉仕がある……。」
イエスに従うとき、イエスは私たちを「すべての人の僕」となるように招いておられます。今日、あなたの奉仕に対する態度や考え方はどうでしたか？どのように他の誰かに仕えることができますか？
教皇の祈りの意向に心を合わせて祈りを終えましょう。
修道者たちの司牧的養成が奉仕の気質に開かれるように、修道者たちのために毎月の祈りを祈りましょう。

活動から戻り、一日の終わりに、この数分間で、キリストのために何をしたかを振り返ってください。キリストのために何ができますか？終わろうとしている一日を、その瞬間や経験の一つひとつを受け入れましょう。
今日一日、愛し、仕えることができたことに感謝していますか？
明日、あなたが出会うすべての人に愛と奉仕を続けることができるように、力を回復する恵みを求めましょう。

With Jesus in the morning
In service to my neighbor
Open your eyes to this new day, and begin it in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Let today’s Gospel resound: “Jesus sat down, called the Twelve and said to them, ‘Whoever wishes to be first must be last of all and servant of all'” (Mk 9:30-37).
Today the Lord invites you to live in full and selfless service to your sisters and brothers with whom you share life on a daily basis. To live with an innocent heart, with the heart of a child, who loves, trusts and serves others. “The Christian exists to serve” (Pope Francis).
Take a few minutes in silence to calibrate your heart to the gospel and visualize how you want to live today.
Pray the offering prayer for the seminarians in formation so that the Lord may forge in them a heart ready to serve.

Pause for a moment during this mid day break to listen to what Pope Francis tells us for this month of May: “Authentic vocational motivations, that is, the following of the Lord and the establishment of the Kingdom of God are at the basis of a process that is both human and spiritual.
At the basis of the call is always service to others….
When following Jesus, He invites us to be “the servant of all”. How has your attitude and outlook on service been today? How can you serve someone else?
End your prayer by uniting your heart to the Pope’s prayer intention.
Pray the monthly prayer for the religious that their pastoral formation will open them to a disposition of service.

Returning from your activities, at the end of your day, take these minutes to review What have you done for Christ? What can you do for Christ? Embrace the day that is ending in each of its moments and experiences.
Are you grateful for the opportunity you’ve had this day to be able to LOVE AND SERVE….
Ask for the grace to recover your strength so that tomorrow you can continue in love and service to all whom you meet.
