With Jesus in the morning
I give thanks to God on this day of the feast of St. James the Apostle. “Whoever wishes to be great among you shall be your servant; whoever wishes to be first among you shall be your slave” (Matthew 20:26-27). I pray to God the Father to teach me how to serve him with a faith that will manifest in my actions. May I relate to those who come across today, full of love and service. “Humility springs from self-knowledge” (St. Catherine of Siena). The humble person has the patience to listen and waits for the right moment to speak. They are not puffed up by their deeds and qualities. Recognize that your gifts and talents come from God and return them to him. The humble person always finds an opportunity to exercise kindness. They know how to be happy with what they possess. Lord, may I learn to walk in humility and, following his example, seek perfect obedience to the Father.

Look over your day in your heart. Give thanks to God for any graces received. What places did you travel? How did you feel? Did you feel the presence of God in any of them? Do you feel that a specific place hurts you or is problematic for you? Give everything you have received to God and ask him to repair what has been damaged in you today. Hail Mary…
