On this feast of Sts. Peter and Paul, take the opportunity to ask the Lord to give you the grace of the availability that they had for their mission. “Feed my lambs” (Jn 21:15). Do you recognize yourself and others as sheep of the Lord? Look at the attitudes of Jesus, the Good Shepherd. Which of them do you need more? At the end of the Feast of Sts. Peter and Paul, I thank the Lord for the gift of the Pope and of the Church of which I am a part. I ask the Lord for forgiveness for my selfishness that does not let me see that He is there and that he wants to be loved. I thank you for allowing me to recognize you in those who need love, in those who wait for my outstretched hand. I ask you for the grace to love in my daily life, through small concrete gestures.
