With Jesus in the morning
Receive this day listening carefully to the gift hidden and given in everyday life. Thank God for each and every one of them. Only faith allows us to hear and see this way. Herod heard about Jesus, but without the inner part of his heart. “Who then is this of whom I hear such things?” (Lk 9: 7-9). What do you hear in this passage? What grabs your attention? With Jesus during the day
Find a quiet place to be in peace with Jesus. Whats going through your mind? Give him your joys, your worries and everything else of the world. Listen attentively to the needs around you. Pope Francis asks in this synodal time “to be a Church of listening… Listen to the Spirit in adoration and prayer, listen to brothers and sisters about the hopes and crises of faith in the various parts of the world, the urgencies of renewal of pastoral life and the signs that come from local realities.” Do you include the monthly challenge in your daily listening? Get back on the road to peace.

With Jesus in the night
The day is coming to an end. Return to your interior and let the people, situations, and events of this day parade thorugh your mind. Give God thanks for everything. Everything is a gift. What neighbor approached you today asking for some of your time, a smile, a greeting, your listening, or your understanding? Could you recognize it in your family, in your office, in your neighborhood? Do not let the day end without giving or receiving forgiveness for what was not love. Pray to the good-hearted Father: “forgive me as I forgive others.” Hail Mary…
