日中イエスと共に
「貧しい人々との友情によって、私たちは、永遠なる王である主の友となります。この貧しさを愛することで、私たちはこの世にあって王になります。とはいえそれは、この世界の王ではなく、天の国の王なのです」（聖イグナチオ・ロヨラ）。貧しい人々の間にあって心地よく感じない人もいます。それは、手を伸ばして傷口に触れるよりも、貧困に対して関わり合いを持たずに批判的な立場にとどまる方が簡単だからです。貧困に直面したとき、私はどのような態度を取るでしょうか。どこに身を置くでしょうか。貧しい人々との只中でしょうか。傍観者の立場でしょうか。それとも、現実を変えるために何か具体的なことをする人の立場でしょうか。兄弟姉妹に対して真に共感する心を持ち、具体的に彼らを助けることができますように。

夜イエスと共に
心のなかで今日一日を振り返ってみましょう。平和と喜びが与えられた瞬間のために、神に感謝します。それらを思い出し、もう一度味わってみましょう。どのような難しさに出会ったかを神が示してくださるように恵みを願いましょう。それらに対してどのように対応したでしょうか。自由な心で、愛と希望と信頼を感じながら、対応することができたでしょうか。今日の経験から学びつつ、明日、罪の奴隷としてではなく、内的な自由をもって行動する恵みを神に願い求めましょう。アヴェ・マリア…

With Jesus in the morning
On this feast day of St. Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Society of Jesus, which has been entrusted with the mission of the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network, I want to give thanks to God for his life and example. Inspired by St. Ignatius, I ask God for the grace to believe in Jesus. To desire, without prejudice, a true and humble encounter with him, an encounter that leads me to love and serve in everything. I offer this day for the intention that Pope Francis entrusts this month to his Worldwide Prayer Network: for families of today, so that they may be accompanied with love, respect and guidance. With Jesus during the day
“The friendship of the poor makes us friends with the eternal King. The love of this poverty makes us kings here on earth; kings, however, not of the earth, but of Heaven” (St. Ignatius of Loyola). There are those who do not feel comfortable among the poor, as it is simpler to stay aloof and adopt a critical stance in the face of poverty than to touch the wounds and reach out. What attitude do I adopt in the face of poverty? Where am I? Am I among the poor, on the sidelines or in the position of someone who does something concrete to change reality? May I learn to have true compassion for my brothers and sisters and be able to help them concretely.

With Jesus in the night
Look over your day in your heart. Thank God for the moments that have given you peace and joy. Remember them and enjoy them again. Ask God to show you what challenges you faced today. How did you respond to them? Did you act freely, feeling love, hope and confidence? Did you feel restless? Learning from what was experienced today, ask God for the grace tomorrow to act with interior freedom, not as a slave to sin. Hail Mary…
